Millennium Corporation, a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), today graduated from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program. Millennium, which received its 8(a) designation in March of 2006, completed the nine-year program with annual revenue over $29M in 2015 with 163 employees nationwide. The 8(a) Business Development Program offers business assistance to help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the American economy and access the federal procurement market.
“Our graduation from the 8(a) program marks an important milestone in Millennium’ history,” said President and CEO Kevin Jennings. “We achieved this milestone through the fervent, diligent and dedicated efforts of our truly phenomenal workforce. I extend my sincere appreciation to all Millennium employees and to our customers – for their role in reaching this graduation day.” Although Millennium’ has graduated from the 8(a) program, the company maintains its Small Business and SDVOSB status. Similar to the 8(a) program, these designations allow Millennium to compete for federal work in smaller competitive pools and assist federal agencies and prime contractors in fulfilling small business and minority-owned business goals.
