Millennium’s Cedric Henry Recognized by Georgia Southern University as Alumnus of the Year

Arlington, VA – April 16, 2015 – Millennium Corporation, a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), announced this week that Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Cedric Henry, was recognized by Georgia Southern as a 2015 Alumnus of The Year. Every year, the University honors alumni who have distinguished themselves as outstanding professional and personal achievers and who have loyally dedicated their time and service to their alma mater. Henry was one of nine alumni recognized for outstanding achievements in their respective fields.

“It is truly a great honor to be receiving this award,” said Henry. “Georgia Southern provided me with the foundation for my career with the Navy and prepared me with the business skills needed to succeed after I retired. I take great pride in staying connected with the University.”

Henry graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1984 with Bachelors of Business Administration. He began his post-GSU career by joining the United States Navy, with his first commission as an ENSIGN, based out of Charleston, South Carolina. Henry went on to serve the Navy for 20 years, where he developed expertise with various programs throughout the Department of Defense, and eventually earned a final rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Cedric Henry joined forces with his friend and now business partner, Kevin Jennings, with whom he co-founded Millennium Corporation in 2004 with the vision of providing unrivaled customer service and support to government clients. In addition to successfully managing Millennium Corporation, Henry also actively participates in several charities and causes, including the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk, the Wounded Warrior Project, and several other veterans-related organizations including a company sponsored, charity golf tournament coming up in May in Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Georgia Southern University presented it’s 2015 Alumni Awards at the annual Alumni Association Awards Dinner held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center. Henry attended the event with his family and close friends.

Millennium Corporation Successfully Graduates from U.S. Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Program

Millennium Corporation, a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB),  has graduated from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program. Millennium, which received its 8(a) designation in March of 2006, completed the nine-year program with annual revenue over $29M in 2015 with 163 employees nationwide. The 8(a) Business Development Program offers business assistance to help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the American economy and access the federal procurement market.

“Our graduation from the 8(a) program marks an important milestone in Millennium’ history,” said President and CEO Kevin Jennings. “We achieved this milestone through the fervent, diligent and dedicated efforts of our truly phenomenal workforce. Millennium Corporation Receives the 2012 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Small Business Achievement Award

WASHINGTON, DC – March 28, 2012 – Millennium Corporation received the 2012 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Small Business Achievement Award for its outstanding work in support of the DHS mission. The award was presented to Millennium at the 8th Annual Small Business Awards Ceremony, an event recognizing the best small businesses across the country supporting 8 separate DHS agencies, held on April 18, 2012.

Millennium was nominated for the award by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for outstanding performance in support of CBP's Procurement Directorate in FY11.  Millennium was selected for this prestigious award for its on-site acquisition support to the Secure Border Initiative (SBI) Acquisition Office.  This support included all facets of pre and post award processes as well as mentoring support.  The SBI office consisted of junior Contract Specialists whom had not yet reached the journeyman level in the series.  Millennium was tasked with providing information, guidance, and recommendations to our junior Contract Specialist regarding contractual actions assigned to them.  Millennium’s experienced team has successfully mentored SBI’s young professionals through negotiations, rationale for contract type, pre-award processes, and document preparation.  After having the Millennium contract in place two (2) years now, the results of our support is evident by the SBI procurement staff’s increased contractual knowledge base and response time regarding contractual actions.   Specifically, Millennium Corporation was recognized for responsiveness in providing support by quickly filling positions with qualified individuals.  In understanding the importance of filling positions, Millennium instituted a process within their company which involved a prescreening of individuals and then monitoring their performance.  Millennium’s responsiveness was recently most evident when a CBP office was in need of pre-award support on a crucial procurement with an extremely tight schedule.  Millennium quickly stepped in and provided the necessary assistance for a timely contract award.

"We spent time to learn and understand the client’s need prior to the start of work.  We initially provided support at CBP in November 2009 with just one on-site mentor and eventually fulfilled the contract with 4 full time mentors and one part-time consultant.  All of our Millennium Team mentors were screened for their skills and ability to meet the client’s mission needs and all have extensive background in Government Procurement and interpreting the Federal Acquisition Regulation”, commented Kyle T. Millennium Wins IDIQ Contract in Support of Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense Omnibus Program Engineering and Technical Support (JPEO-CBD OPETS) Services

Aberdeen, MD, December 21, 2012 – The Army’s Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO CBD) Omnibus Program (JPEO CBD) awarded Millennium prime contracts under four of the six joint services domains: Acquisition, B&A, IT, and Logistics. The primary goal of this acquisition is to establish a JPEO-CBD-Wide Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle for JPEO-CBD to provide technical, acquisition, and business support services. The contract will provide JPEO-CBD with the broad technical, acquisition, and business supporting the JPEO-CBD's current and evolving mission.

The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD) is the Joint Services advanced developer for research, development, acquisition, fielding and life-cycle support of chemical and biological defense equipment and medical countermeasures. Within the Joint Program Executive Office, JPEO Directorates, nine Joint Project Managers lead, manage and direct the acquisition and fielding of chemical biological radiological and nuclear (CBRN) defense, detection and reconnaissance systems, individual/collective protection/decontamination systems, information management systems, medical devices, drugs and vaccines, medical countermeasures, nuclear/radiological systems and installation/force protection systems.

Millennium Wins Prime Contract in Support of Defense Technical Information Center Information Analysis Center (DTIC)

ARLINGTON, VA, October 10, 2012– Millennium was recently awarded GSA’s requirement for Program Management and Technical Support Services for the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) located at Fort Belvoir, VA. The contract is a Traditional Single Award Contract valued at $2,687,233 for the base year.

In creating Team Millennium, Millennium selected Phacil Inc. specifically for their technical expertise in Financial and Budget Analysis Support, Defense Agencies Initiatives (DAI) Program Technical Support Services, and Performance Measurement Services.

Millennium Awarded the Army’s Software Engineering Maintenance Support Contract as Sub to DCS Corp.

PICATINNY, NJ, December 21, 2012 – Millennium Corporation was awarded The Army’s Software Engineering Maintenance Support contract as a sub to strategic partner and mentor, DCS Corporation. This is a requirement for software engineering, infrastructure, technologies and equipment requirements in support of the Armament Software Engineering Center. We are excited to announce our team was awarded both functional areas DCS submitted proposals against.

The DCS Team is one of eight awardees with the potential to earn $74,000,000. Millennium will support the DCS Team by participating as a member in Government led IPTs for all required tasks specified in the SOW.

US Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command Awards Human Resource Management and Administration Support Services (HRSS)

CRYSTAL DITY, VA – August 16, 2010 - The Defense Contracting Center of Excellence’s Contracting Office awarded Millennium Corporation  the Army Management and Administration Support of Human Resources (HRSS) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract has a ceiling of $69M.  Millennium will compete for task orders in IT support, organizational analysis, logistics, training, and marketing. The US Army Mission and Instillation Contracting Command, Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) at the Pentagon, on behalf of HRsolutions Program Office, has a continuing requirement for human resource management and administrative support services. The Assistant Secretary of Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) ASA (A&RA) seeks to provide centrally managed contracting support for the comprehensive range of HR services covered in the M&RA mission. Millennium will provide a variety of Administrative support services for military and civilian personnel and their organizations. “We are excited about the opportunity to continue our support to our soldiers and their families. DCS-Millennium Joint Venture Selected for US Army RDECOM CERDEC Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) Warrior Enabling Broad Sensor (WEBS) Contract

ALEXANDRIA, VA – May 8, 2012 – DCS-Millennium LLC, a joint venture between DCS Corp and Millennium Corporation, has been selected as one of six prime contractors by the US Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Communications Electronics Research, Development, and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) to provide engineering support and technology assistance.  The Warrior Enabling Broad Sensor (WEBS) support contract, totaling $1.78B, will provide sensor technology engineering, administrative and operations support, field technology assistance, test and evaluation, and engineering support and services for night vision and electronic sensors systems. WEBS is an ID/IQ multiple-award vehicle with a performance period of five years.

DCS and Millennium formed the joint venture specifically to maintain DCS’s long-standing relationship with US Army RDECOM CERDEC NVESD and pursue continued work under the WEBS contract vehicle. “Our continued ability to support NVESD under the WEBS contract vehicle is a great accomplishment for DCS’s employee-owners and our Millennium partner,” said Jim Wood, DCS Corp Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “NVESD is recognized as one of the premier labs in the DoD system. PHILIEDELPHIA, PA - February 5, 2011-President and CEO, Kevin Jennings was honored to sit on the Entrepreneurship Panel at this year’s 37th Whitney M. Young, Jr. Memorial Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Every year, University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business holds the oldest student run conference with the attendance of well over 300 attendees. Students, alumni, educators, and business professionals from around the world attend the weekend long event. Distinguished leaders in business and politics, such as Mr. Jennings, helped support Wharton’s efforts to empower attendees with a series of lectures. Mr. Jennings, along with five other business owners, sat on a panel with an open-floor forum offering advice to students and other aspiring entrepreneurs. They discussed topics from small business loans to partnering opportunities. Attendees were able to explore the ways entrepreneurial ventures can both establish long-term wealth for individuals and the community.

Millennium Joins the Fight to Defeat Lou Gehrig’s Disease

BALTIMORE, MD - OCTOBER 24, 2010 - Millennium participated in the Walk to Defeat ALS, as Millennium did its part in the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease. Our “Leaping Lizzies” team was the #2 top fundraising teams out of over 50 teams participating. Our dear friend, who is currently fighting this awful disease was very grateful of our support of this extremely worthwile fundraiser. The turn-out and support was beyond belief.  Our team walked a total of 4 miles around Arundel Mills Mall and ended the event with an award ceremony at Dave and Buster’s. The energy was high even early that Sunday morning. The team’s contribution in the fundraising walk will make a difference in those affected by ALS. The money sponsored by Millennium and raised by “Leaping Lizzies” will help the Association lead global research, assist people with ALS, fund multidisciplinary certified clinical care centers, and foster government partnerships. Each dollar we made will make a difference in those affected by ALS, like our friend.

Millennium to Develop DMG Course for CASCOM SCoE

CRYSTAL CITY, VA- September 28, 2010- Combined Arms Support Command Sustainment Center of Excellence (CASCOM SCoE) awarded Millennium Corporation a contract to analyze, design, and develop a Sustainment Digital Master Gunner Course (DMG). The course will be designed using Battle Command Sustainment Support System (BCS3) software version 4.0 or the latest version.  Millennium is incorporating the approved Command Post of the Future (CPOF) Training Support Package into the Sustainment DMG POI and validating and updating the current BCS3 individual and collective Battle Command (BC) tasks to incorporate them into the development of the course. Millennium will provide instructional level support to CASCOM Senior Logistics Staff NCOs who are proficient in working with and integrating BCS3 requirements.

Millennium Awarded Task Order for UPS Installation at the Joint Warfare and Analysis Center (JWAC)

DAHLGREN, VA – July 9, 2010 - Millennium is pleased to announce that Norfolk District, Corps of Engineers has recently awarded two construction task orders to us for UPS installations and maintenance at the JWAC in Dahlgren, VA. The task orders were issued under an 8(a) $3.5 million dollar Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract awarded to Millennium in 2009.  The combined value of the two task orders is $800,000.00, and work will begin at the Dahlgren facility in August 2010.  We are excited about continuing to work with Norfolk District as a prime contractor and providing construction services in support of JWAC’s critical mission.

Millennium Establishes Sub Contract Relationship For Support at the Software Engineering Center (SEC)

LOUIS, MO - March 01, 2010 - Millennium Corporation  was awarded a Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract under the consolidated Professional Engineering Services (PES) schedule from the US General Services Administration’s (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS).   With this new PES GSA schedule, government customers will now have direct access to Millennium’s with the benefits of shorter lead times and lower administrative costs.

Millennium Supports Walter Reid’s Wounded Warrior Program

LAUREL, MD - November 15, 2009 - Knowing that “The greatest casualty is being forgotten”, Millennium continues to do its part in supporting those heroes that support us. Millennium partnered with the Wounded Warrior Program at Walter Reid in support of their mission and offered a young hero a day at a Redskins game. Craig “Chris” Smith, a 22 year old soldier, has an amazing spirit and an even more amazing story. As we watched the Redskins defeat the Bronco’s, Chris talked candidly with Millennium’s VP of Operations, Steve Ware and CEO, Kevin Jennings about his experiences in the Army. Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, (after graduation) Chris wanted to leave his small town in hopes to find a more challenging career in the Military. His passion for adrenaline led him to join the Army February 14, 2008. Nine months later, Chris was deployed to Iraq. It was there, he learned to become a leader. His fellow troops taught him how to survive and take better care of himself. It was also there that his vehicle was hit by an IED, breaking his right leg and splitting his foot open 2 inches. Two surgeries and an infection later, Chris and doctors were forced to amputate his limb before infection spread throughout his body. At 22, Chris has overcome more than most will experience in a lifetime. Although he was forced to lose a leg, he has not lost his drive and positivity. He wears a smile like it’s his best accessory. He has no regrets about his decision to join the Army expressing that if had not been for the support of his family and fellow soldiers, he would probably still be in a state of confusion about his life.  Chris plans to head back to his home station in Germany soon with hopes to gain a degree in Criminal Justice so that he can one day work for the CIA or FBI. Millennium was pleased to bring a smile to such a deserving face. It is our mission to support the war fighter both pre and post war. Supporting Walter Reid was just a small step to help a hero take a much bigger one.


FALLS CHURCH, VA - October 24, 2009 - Millennium joined Capitol Hill’s three minority staff associations as they inaugurated their first ever Tri-Caucus Volunteer Event. The partners wanted to show appreciation to the men and women of the military who have given so much of themselves to protect our country.  Team members helped assemble care packages for the deployed troops on a dreary Saturday morning.  Each box included an assortment of items to remind the troops of home including non-perishables, DVD’s, water bottles, books, and “Thank You” cards written by the volunteers.

Millennium Corporation Awarded Prime Contract with the Veteran Administration

WASHINGTON, DC - June 1, 2009 - The Veteran Administration Agency has awarded Millennium Corporation a prime contract to conduct work measurement study and the team couldn’t be happier! The Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA) is responsible for administering a wide range of benefits and services for Veterans, their families, and their survivors. Previous work measurement studies have been initiated and conducted with the VR&E Service. However, with very limited analysis, the results of those studies could not be quantified into work standards, nor were the results documented and presented as a body of data with useful analytical potential. Millennium Corporation, along with New Edition, is pleased to announce that we will now support the VBA in their continued efforts to conduct a more comprehensive audit of performance. Millennium was awarded two positions on the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) Service Work Measurement Study project which seeks to expand prior goals, first, by giving a credible snapshot of current tasks being performed, and at what rate of time. Second, a recommendation of measurement standards will provide framework for ongoing documentation, analysis, and program improvement, year after year. The work will be performed at the central office headquarters in Washington, DC where our team will provide all resources necessary to accomplish the objectives of the project. We are excited to support our Veterans and their families by conducting quantifiable research that will benefit their survivors in the long run.

Millennium Corporation Wins Navy Seaport-E Task

WASHINGTON,DC - June 2009 - Millennium is proud to announce their first Navy Seaport-e win providing Lean Six Sigma Training/ Mentoring to the Navy Supply Command.  Millennium’s Master Black Belt, will be leading the training to provide NAVSUP superior support with a goal to increase NAVSUP’s efficiency in their day-to-day operations. Booz Allen Hamilton’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will also provide support to NAVSUP as a subcontractor to Millennium. The team will provide NAVSUP with project identification as well as charter design and implementation. This training will be conducted at multiple sites around the US and around the World. There are multiple agencies and organizations within NAVSUP, which Millennium will train and as we provide excellent customer services and support to NAVSUP, our goal is to open this area to future Lean Six Sigma Support. This is a huge victory for Millennium as it is our first Seaport-e win and opens up a new and exciting area for Millennium. The Millennium team is looking forward to our future success with the Navy and our Lean Six Sigma support.

Millennium Corporation Supports the Marine Corps Annual Toys for Tots Program

ARLINGTON, VA. - December 17, 2008 - Millennium Corporation employees throughout the Northwest, Midwestern, and Capital Regions collected toys for underprivileged children in the nation’s capital by donating to the Marine Corps 2008 Toys for Tots program. Millennium Corporation employees dropped off toys at our annual Holiday Party on December 13, 2008 in support of the Toys for Tots Program. The toys were donated from employees at offsite locations including, New Jersey, Michigan, and Alabama. This was our first year participating in this charitable event and it we are most certain that it won’t be our last. The Toys for Tots program dates back to 1947 when Major Bill Hendricks, USMCR and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. Since adopted by the US Marine Corps, every year there after the Toys for Tots program collects new, unwrapped toys from October until December, for distribution to disadvantaged children in the community. Millennium Corporation’s Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Consulting instrumental in MARCOSYCOM Bronze Award

FT.BELVOIR, VA - November 4, 2008 - When the Marine Corps System Command (MARCORSYSCOM), of which PM AMMO is part, won the Bronze Award in this years’ AT&L competition (3rd place of 41 commands), Millennium Corporation’s Lean Six Sigma efforts were recognized as being a substantial part of why they earned that recognition. Millennium supports DOD functions with Lean Six Sigma.  Our latest effort is to support a PM in Huntsville with efforts based on the work, Theory of Constraints and Critical Chain Management.  This LSS work is helping to improve the method and time in which helicopters are recapitalized and put back into the fleet.  We provide service to our clients by constantly upgrading training materials and support. Our Six Sigma Consultant, Julian Smith, was recognized by the command for his tireless efforts in developing and implementing, Lean Six Sigma process improvement training classes.  Julian trains classes ranging from Yellow Belt and Green Belt to Black Belt and Champion.  Command employees have completed four LSS projects and initiated several more. The Marine Corps System Command serves as the Commandant’s principal agent for acquisition and sustainment of systems and equipment used by the operating forces.

Millennium Corporation Wins SeaPort-E Contract Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 7

ARLINGTON, VA - July 3, 2008 - Millennium Corporation is pleased to announce its US Navy award on a prime contract under the Seaport-e acquisition program!  SeaPort-Enhanced (SeaPort-E) provides a faster, more effective, and less expensive means of contracting for professional support services providing services solicited by Naval Sea Systems, Naval Air Systems command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Strategic Systems Programs, Office of Naval Research, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and the United States Marine Corps. This new project will allow Navy customers to choose from 22 functional service areas ranging anywhere from Research and Development to Program Support. With a one-year base period and one five-year award term plus one additional four-year award term, this contract. could collectively be worth $5.3 billion a year especially considering there are 1,265 contracts previously awarded under the SeaPort-e acquisition program.
