Thomas “TJ” Guarino has over 23 years of business/corporate experience with 15 years of high level government contractor experience where he was responsible for the current and long term effectiveness and efficiency of the financial organization and functions including: accounting, budgeting, cash flow, payroll, payables, credit and collection, information systems, financial analysis and accounting reports. He also brings his venture capital, private equity, sell-side and buy-side acquisition experience to the table.

TJ has also held several high level positions with commercial firms based in Maryland and Virginia. As Director of Finance for Acquisition Solutions, Inc., based in Arlington, VA, he was responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial systems. He was also involved with sell-side with private equity and buy-side acquisitions. As Senior Director of Information Systems at SpaceWorks, Inc., a venture-capital funded, start-up in Rockville, Maryland, he was responsible for all corporate information systems, including Costpoint accounting system, Siebel CRM/PSA, ADP Perspective Human Resources Information System, and Transcentive stock/option management system. As Chief Financial Officer for Kearney & Company, a small accounting/Information Technology firm in northern Virginia, TJ was responsible for all aspects of the companies’ financial and information technology operations for the 60-person firm. TJ has held numerous positions at the privately-held Robbins-Gioia, Inc., a program management-consulting firm, based in Northern Virginia. TJ was their Director of Finance, Account Manager, and Cost Analyst at various times. TJ also headed his own consulting firm that provided project management, proposal development and Costpoint accounting system implementation to government contractor customers.

TJ holds a bachelors degree in economics from CW Post College and a masters in management from Johns Hopkins University.
